We attended LEAP in Riyadh, "the world's most attended tech event", having the opportunity to discuss Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of training and education.

What we have learned, from our conversations with experts, is that AI is revolutionizing the education and training sector, reshaping the way we teach and learn.

By utilizing AI-powered systems, education can be tailored to individual learning styles, providing personalized content and resources. These systems can identify gaps in learning and adjust teaching methods accordingly, based on the specific needs of each learner.
For example, AI can analyze a student's performance on practice tests and create customized study plans that focus on their strengths and weaknesses.

Furthermore, AI can automate administrative tasks, allowing educators to dedicate more time to teaching.
Grading assignments and tracking student progress can all be efficiently managed by AI, reducing the workload for teachers and trainers and enabling them to have more meaningful interactions with their students.

AI also offers additional support to students outside of traditional classroom hours:
AI-powered chatbots are available 24/7 to answer students' questions, providing instant feedback and assistance.
This ensures that education is accessible to students who may not be able to attend physical classes.

Moreover, AI is being utilized in training programs to simulate real-world scenarios, enabling learners to gain practical experience in a safe and controlled environment.

However, the integration of AI in education also raises concerns.
Issues regarding data privacy and security arise as AI systems often require access to sensitive information.
There is also a risk of over-reliance on AI, which could potentially hinder the development of critical thinking skills as students become accustomed to receiving instant answers.

Following a day spent interacting with AI experts, we have come to the conclusion that AI holds great promise as a technology that can assist educators and trainers in improving their organizational skills.

However, it is important to acknowledge the potential dangers associated with this technology.
Students may develop a reliance on chatbots to obtain the necessary information for their learning, potentially undermining their research skills and critical thinking abilities.

One cannot help but wonder if students will truly learn anything valuable if they can easily obtain answers without putting in the effort.
Additionally, if AI proves to be more efficient and less demanding than human teachers, will students still appreciate and value their educators?

These are important considerations that warrant further contemplation.
