AMFORHT visits the Universidad del Estado de Sonora, Mexico

The Universidad del Estado de Sonora, recently welcomed the AMFORHT Secretary General, Djibril Fofana, at the invitation of the NGO Country Delegate, Antoine Chauveau, and the Sonora's President of hoteliers, Francisco Lasso.
This visit allowed an in-depth exploration of the university’s tourism and hospitality department.

The department of tourism and hospitality at the Universidad del Estado de Sonora plays a crucial role in training more than 1,200 students each year, 400 of whom specialize in the fields of hospitality and catering.
This department is distinguished by the implementation of practical scenarios, carried out in their own establishment, which includes a hotel and a training restaurant.

With these hands-on facilities, students have the opportunity to implement theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom in a simulated professional environment.
This helps strengthen their skills and prepare them more comprehensively for their future careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.

The visit of the Secretary General of AMFORHT also made it possible to observe the synergies put in place between the Universidad del Estado de Sonora and other member schools in Mexico, as well as at the international level.
Exchanges between schools are encouraged, thus promoting fruitful collaboration in the field of tourism and hospitality training.

This initiative demonstrates AMFORHT's commitment to promoting cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of tourism and hospitality education, thus strengthening ties between educational institutions globally.
