amforht makes the emirates times’ headlines

Presiding over AMFORHT in the Middle East is unparalleled. It is a wonderful experience that I had the pleasure of sharing during a recent conversation with the Emirates Times.

I was recently appointed to lead AMFORHT in the Middle East, and I can already say that it is a fantastic experience.
As a reminder, AMFORHT is a UN Tourism (formerly UNWTO) affiliate that helps governments worldwide implement sustainable tourism strategies through hospitality and tourism education and training.

With over 55 years of experience, AMFORHT has shown that effective tourism strategies can significantly boost a country's GDP, provide better education and job opportunities for its people, and ultimately lead to a better quality of life.

Working for AMFORHT is truly rewarding as we have the opportunity to positively impact people's lives every single day.

The Emirates Times article highlights how my journey led me to work with an NGO.
Throughout my career in for-profit organizations, I have always strived to improve the lives of those working with me, directly or indirectly, while ensuring the success of the companies I worked for in top managerial positions.

As Simon Sinek (or Vaughn Aust?!) once said, "Happy employees lead to happy customers, and happy customers lead to happy shareholders - in that order."
This principle has always guided my actions, even though it may not always be easy to achieve.

Creating the right environment is crucial for companies to succeed in this goal, and that's where AMFORHT comes in.
Present in over 80 countries, we are partnering with governments to create a conducive environment for sustainable tourism strategies.

I encourage you to read the Emirates Times article (link below) to learn more about this exciting journey.
Enjoy!

AMFORHT is a UN Tourism affiliate, holding a Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic & Social Council (ECOSOC).
